Extension Test “X class”

Dear Parents and Carers of Year 7 2027

Students who will be applying for a place at Killarney Heights High School for Year 7 2027 are eligible to sit the test to be placed in the “X” Extension Class.  The test will take place on Tuesday 24th March 2026, 8:45am – 11:20am at Killarney Heights High School in the school hall.

Killarney Heights HS established the Year 7 extension classes to offer parents a highly academic alternative in a co-educational, comprehensive school context rather than travelling to a separate elective school. It provides a strong impetus for high academic achievement in the middle years of schooling to encourage high expectations and to extend opportunities for enrichment.

The test consists of 3 areas, Verbal, Quantitative and Nonverbal and is multiple choice based.

If you wish your child to sit for the test, please complete this online form
