The offers of a place will be made to students starting from early Term 2.

Out of Area Applicants

For government school students, students can apply as an out of area applicant from Term 1 week 6. For private school students, please complete the online application form on our website.

Offers will be made according to Department of Education enrolment policy, if you believe you have a valid reason, you will need to complete the box on the application with reasons why you should be considered.

Offers for out of area applicants will be made from Term 2 week 3.

Extension Test “X class”

Due to new Department of Education policy, the selection of students for the extension class “X class”, will be conducted only after the students are enrolled at Killarney Heights High School.

This test will most likely be conducted at the start of June 2025. We will email all applicants to offer them the opportunity to sit this exam, which will be conducted at no cost to parents. If there are unforeseen circumstances where a student is unable to sit the exam, we reserve the right to place a child in the X stream using other evidence.

The “S” extension class

Students will be placed in the “S” class on a combination of factors including teacher recommendation during our meetings with the primary school teachers and/or the submission of a portfolio. This is done towards the end of the year. It is not necessary to ask your teacher to write you a reference.
